Composite Sink Care in 3 Steps: RESET → HEAL → GUARD

Most composite sink problems develop gradually when protection wears off, allowing minerals, soap scum, and residues to bond to the surface. The good news? These issues are usually correctable and preventable with the right system.

Our most current authority guide is here:
Full RESET → HEAL → GUARD Guide with Video & Detailed Instructions

This proven modular system safely restores original color and texture while delivering long-term ionic protection with ioSeal® technology. It works on all major brands including Blanco Silgranit, Kraus, Franke, Elkay, and more — without relying on oils, waxes, or temporary shine products.

Quick Test: If your dark sink (black, brown, or gray) looks noticeably better when wet than when fully dry, it is likely experiencing loss of protection. This system corrects that effectively.

Step 1: RESET – Deep Cleaning & Decontamination

Role: Removes bonded mineral buildup, soap scum, old oils, and contaminants so the restoration can bond properly. (Optional abrasive reconditioning is performed here for burns, deep scratches, etch marks, or pits.)

  • Saturate with Scum & Mineral Deposit Remover and allow proper dwell time.
  • Agitate gently with a soft sponge or appropriate textured pad.
  • Rinse thoroughly, wipe dry, and inspect when fully dry.
  • Repeat until no further improvement is visible (check both wet and dry).

Decision Point: If the sink looks good when fully dry after RESET, proceed directly to Step 3 (GUARD). If it only looks good when wet, continue to Step 2 (HEAL Deep-Seal).

Step 2: HEAL Deep-Seal – Color Restoration & Repair

Role: Penetrates the material from the inside out to restore faded color, repair minor surface issues, and build a hardened protective shell.

  • Apply only to a clean, completely dry sink using a soft sponge or paper towel.
  • Wipe away all excess immediately.
  • Accelerate curing with a hair dryer on warm setting (held ~12" away).
  • Follow the “+2 Rule”: Once the color looks restored when dry, apply 2 additional layers for full surface saturation.

Step 3: GUARD – Long-Term Protection with ioSeal®

Role: Creates an ionic, self-leveling bond that repels minerals, grease, and stains while making daily cleaning easier. It replaces the old “oil and repeat” cycle with lasting protection.

  • Spray lightly and wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel.
  • Use daily for the first 10–14 days to fully optimize the bond.
  • Transition to weekly use for ongoing protection.

How do I know if I have permanent damage? I used all three products several times over as instructed, but still have visible unsightly areas on my brown composite granite sink (I have pictures I could upload if you provide a link) Spending $50 for the 3 products, I expected more visual improvement. Can you help me determine if my sink is permanently damaged?

I thought my sink was ruined and I ordered this product. The results were amazing. It took a little time but we followed the directions and we ended up with a brand new looking sink. There are few times when something does what it says it does and this was one. Great product!
